To create awareness about soil testing and integrated management of this natural resource, KVK, Buldana-I organized celebration of "World Soil Day" programme on 5th December, 2018 at Malkapur Dist. Buldana. The programme was celebrated in connotation with state Agriculture Department, Buldana and Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd. (RCF). Parallel to this celebration, kisanmela programme was also organized to distribute Soil Health Cards to farmers of the region.
Mrs. Umatai Tayade, President, Z.P. Buldana chaired the programme, Mr. Suresh Sancheti and Mr. Sanjay Kajale, President, P.S., Malakpur were chief guests. Mr. Jayant Gaikwad, DSS&STO Buldana, Mr. N. K. Raut TAO, Malkapur, Mr.Vikas Jadhao, Sr. Scientist and Head KVK and Mr. Nitin Panzhade from RCF were present for this programme. Mr. Gaikwad gave the information about SHC scheme to farmers. Mr. Sanjay Umale Scientist, KVK explained the details about use of SHC for fertilizer management and focused on INM. Mr. Anil Gabhane, Scientist, KVK focused on soil pollution and judicious use of fertilizers for crops. Total 1400 Soil Health Cards were distributed to farmers and about 200 farmers were present for this programme.
Celebration of Kisan Mahila Diwas
Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Buldana-I has organised "Kisan Mahila Diwas" on 15th October, 2018 at Sonala village of Sangrapur Tahsil. Main objective of this programme was to increase active participation of farm women in agriculture and allied sectors. Dr. Swatitai wakekar, Director, Host Institute was chief guest of this programme. Sau. Kalpanatai Shegokar, Sarpanch, Sonala village, Miss. Rashmi Ghatol, CMRC Manager, Mr. Anil Gabhane, I/c. Sr. Scientist and Head, KVK, Mr. Nitin Talokar, Scientist (Agril. Engg.) Mrs. Sangita Datar and Mrs. Sangita Hage were also present for said programme.
Mr. Anil Gabhane gave information about organic farming and its benefits. Mr. Nitin Talokar delivered lecture on dal milling and entrepreneurship development for SHGs. Miss. Rashmi Ghatol focused on entrepreneurship development through SHGs and Miss. Jyoti Bobde given emphasis on development, awareness and extensive use of farm women friendly and drudgery reducing technologies and implements to empower themselves and ensure their nutritional security. During this programme display of drudgery reduction tools, implements were arranged. About 105 farm women participated in this programme.
